About Melissa R.

Melissa has lived in Western North Carolina for over 20 years and has been a Realtor for 15 years. She credits visiting family in the area while she was growing up as a reason for her desire to live here one day. She says, “The people, history, and beauty that surround us every day feels like home,” and one of her favorite parts of being a Realtor here is working with people from all over and hearing their stories. Melissa believes her success as a Realtor comes from her ability to listen to clients’ wants and needs. She works closely with many area lenders and can provide clients with trustworthy referrals for just about any service they need - whether that is helping with buying or selling a home, or land sales and purchases. A background as a legal assistant has given her insight into real estate law, and working with an in-house home builder has given her insight into new construction. Melissa lives in Sylva with her family and 3 dogs. When she’s not selling homes or land, she enjoys music and concerts, bonfires with friends, exploring the mountains, and traveling the world.
